Here are some great tips & tricks for extra savings at Hotels By Day:
You have two options to book with HotelsByDay:
*You can "pay at the hotel" which grants you free cancellation up to the same day.
Yes, HotelsByDay allows same-day, even last-minute hotel room bookings. However, please note that many hotels will close their inventory for same-day bookings past 1 p.m. their local time.
Yes. Upon check-in, let the receptionist know you'd like to pay in cash. Don't forget that you also need to cover incidentals, which are usually around $100 per booking, depending on the hotel.
Hotels By Day provides hotel rooms for a block of hours at heavily negotiated rates so that guests can use a room for a few hours to relax, unwind from a layover, nap, work, meet in privacy - essentially leverage the early check-in or late check-out day-room model based on their needs.

Hotels By Day currently shows a daily sale taking 15% off selected hotel rooms, and that 15% off sale is the featured offer on this page. It is best when the room you want appears in the sale and you need a short stay with a lower price on the same booked room. No promo code is needed for the 15% sale; it applies only to chosen bookings on the website.
If you have a specific low rate in mind, check the listed deals for specific hotels first. The Best Western Premier Herald Square from $84 and the Holiday Inn Manhattan 6th Ave - Chelsea from $89 are property specific starting rates; if your dates and room type match those listings, pick the hotel deal shown because that listed price will be the basis of your total for that property. For example, a Best Western booking that shows $84 will normally cost $84 before taxes and fees, and no extra site wide code is required for that listed rate.
If you want a higher end room, the Hyatt Herald Square listed from $319 is the applicable offer to consider. That $319 starting price applies only to the Hyatt property; the Best Western or Holiday Inn deals do not apply to Hyatt rooms.
If the room you want is part of the daily 15% sale, use the 15% off sale price. For example, on a $200 booking that is included in the sale, the sale takes 15% off (percent) leaving a final price of $170 and you save $30. This is the most useful choice when the room you plan to book is one of the chosen sale rooms.
If you have an ongoing subscription product with Hotels By Day, the 10% off offer applies only to recurring subscription orders and not to one off hotel bookings. For example, on a $100 recurring subscription order the 10% off leaves $90 and saves $10. Use the subscribe and save option only when you are signing up for a recurring purchase on the website.
If you sign up for the newsletter, the signup lists special offers but does not provide an immediate guaranteed discount on the booking shown; use it to get future email offers rather than to reduce the current cart total.
Our records for the 12 months to October 2026 show two sales and deals listed on this page and the biggest percentage sale in that window was up to 15% off (October 2026). No team checkout checks are recorded for Hotels By Day in the 12 months to October 2026.
When choosing between these options, compare the final totals for the exact room and dates you want and take whichever leaves the lower total. There is no stated rule on combining these offers in the terms shown, so treat each listed deal on its own and apply the one that the booking page allows.
