Located in the historic Distillery District, the Distillery Winter Village, or the Toronto Christmas Market as it is also called, is one of Canada’s best and most-loved Christmas markets. The market features the most iconic tree in Canada, which stands tall at 16.7 metres or 55 feet, has silver fir and is decorated with more than 80,000 lights and 750 ornaments! This market is perfect for the whole family. Just a few of the attractions you will find include multiple Christmas backdrops for perfect holiday pictures, 40 food vendors and 9 bars to suit everyone’s palate, a puppet show display for children, and the L’Oréal Paris Cabin.
The Distillery Winter Village will be closed on Christmas Day. Entry into the market is free between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm, and children aged 9 and under always enter for free. To get the best savings out of this market, aim to head in during the free-entry time slots.
2. The Vancouver Christmas Market

The Vancouver Christmas Market brings a European holiday experience to Canadians. The market combines Canadian and German cultures to create an experience the whole family will enjoy. You can view the Christmas Pyramid, watch live performances, visit one of the 35+ food vendors and enjoy traditional European drinks, treats and food made to suit various diets, take pictures at the walk-through Christmas tree, and so much more!

3. The Québec City German Christmas Market

Taking place in Old Québec, Québec City, every Thursday to Sunday, the German Christmas Market brings music, entertainment and Christmas joy to residents and visitors. This year, with over 150 exhibitors present, the whole family can take part in and enjoy German culture. Suitable for both children and adults, the market offers greetings with Santa, a puppet show and craft workshops for the children, and a happy hour and special cultural displays for the grown-ups.
Take the whole family out to witness the giant puppets of Saint Nicholas and Krampus strolling the streets, listen to the Alphorns, and enjoy food such as glühwein, gingerbread and more. The market is open on Thursdays and Fridays from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Saturdays from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm and Sundays from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. On Monday, the 22nd of December and Tuesday, the 23rd of December 23, the market will be open from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
4. The Edmonton Christmas Market

Taking place at Fort Edmonton Park, the Edmonton Christmas Market has over 200 local vendors set up, live performances including theatre and musical performances, workshops, carousel rides and much more. The market is a family-friendly event that enchants locals and visitors, combining traditional Christmas and festive scenery with innovation from local artists and businesses.
If you want to take part in the various events and workshops being offered and watch performances at the Capitol Theatre, you can purchase tickets on the Edmonton Christmas Market’s website. These tickets also include general admission. The market will be open on Thursdays from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Fridays from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Saturdays from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and Sundays from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
5. The Montreal Great Christmas Market
